All types of boats are allowed on the Charles River, Boston Harbor, Dorchester inner and outer Bays, and Neponset River
The Public Passenger Ferry takes 30 minutes to travel to the various Boston Harbor Islands
Sailboats can be rented from one of the boathouses or docks along the Charles
Permits for public landing and float docks can be purchased from the Boston Harbormaster by the public on the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park (Commercial Street, Boston Harbor)
Paid reservations can be made for docking at Spectacle Island Marina (call 857-452-7221)
Limited docking is available on Georges Island on a first-come, first-served basis
For access to Lovells, Peddocks, Grape, and Bumpkin Islands, you may drop off your guests at the island docks and moor or anchor offshore (dinghies are available)
